Marathon ManMarathon Man's title sequence opening with a documentary-like black & white video. There are first black-on-white titles then the tiles move on to the images. There is a lot of handheld - tracking camera work focusing on the runner (Dustin Hoffman) for example when he's jogging on the sidewalk near the canal.
There is a cross cut to a man in a building (which looks like a high class bank or some type of safe) it then switches to close up of the mans hands opening a safe builds which suspense because we do not know who this man is; There is a good use of sound / sound effects as the title sequence emphasizes; jogging, footsteps & heavy breathing
